"The Pillow Flying Artillery"

Below is a little history about our unit.

1st Tennessee Heavy Artillery, Company K was re-organized in the late 1970's or early 1980's by Tom Shouse. He was Commander until his death in March 1999. Tom was one of the founding members of the Army of Tennessee (AOT). While a member he was instrumental in getting reenactment events started at Fort Pillow State Park, TN and Columbus-Belmont State Park, KY among others.

Upon his death, Jerry Leap took command of the unit and remained Commander until his death in 2004.

Chris Fisher became Commander of the unit and commanded until his resignation on October 8, 2011.

Marty Warren, Jr. was elected Captain of the unit while attending Columbus-Belmont Reenactment in 2011.
